Girl-Happy Birthday.

Hey y'all, happy Friday!! I'm glad it's the weekend, though I wish I felt better. I started feeling a little "ugh" yesterday, thinking today would be better. Well, that didn't really happen. I'll hope for tomorrow. How I manage to make a card, I don't know...?...

I needed to make a card for my niece's birthday, who turned four. *Notice I said who turned four, that's because I'm late!* I hate to say it, but I completely forgot about her birthday! How, you may ask?...Well, I couldn't really tell you. Besides all that I have going on in my little world, I don't know what else would have caused me to forget?! Though, as I like to say "better late, then never"! :)

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

Hey y'all! Hope you're enjoying this relaxing Sunday?!! Surprise, surprise...I actually made a card, that I"m happy with! I saw the Casual Fridays Challenge and been thinking about it, since Friday! Nothing was coming to me and then around 9:30pm last night, it came to me. Now I'm not always up for crafting that late at night, by then I'm usually too tired to do anything! Though, I was in the mood to craft, so I went for it!

I kept my card nice and simple. Nothing too hard about this card. Now, for my leaves....that took a little bit of time. I cut strips of pattern paper (two different ones, to be exact). I then laid down adhesive on some white cardstock and placed my paper strips over it. Alternating them back and forth. After doing that, I used my die and ran it through my machine. I then chose a couple groups of leaves, that I liked and cut them from the rest of my die cut. I ended up with a lovely little bunch of leaves. :) *Lately, I've been on this whole strips of paper thing...I don't know why, but I'm just lovin' it right now.*

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Just saying hello.

Hey ya'll, happy Friday! I can't express how glad I am, that it's Friday! This week was a rollercoaster for me, and last night is when things crashed. Hard. I really don't have much for words, at this time. With that being said, I'm focusing on the positive and moving forward!

Now, I'm not sure if you all saw the new Casual Fridays Challeng?!! But I just knew, I had to play with this one!

So, here's my card!

Oooooh, I had some pure fun and relaxation, making this card! I actually, cleared my mind of everything (I really don't know, how I did that one?) and just took my sweet old time. It was nice. I believe I'm going to try and do this all the time. :)

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Another "Happy Birthday" (Masculine).

Hey ya'll! It's been a little bit, since my last post....but I'm here today, sharing another masculine birthday card with you!!

This took some thinking, again! And this one is for my husband, so I wanted it to be a little extra special! :) *note: don't get me wrong, all my cards are special to me! I just figured since my husband's getting old (not really), I'd put a little more time into his card (I am so bad at times, that I'm usually making his card, the day before or even on his birthday)!

So, I went with using some natural items, again. This time....Burlap! Who would of ever thought?! I liked the texture and the color to it and figured it would work for a masculine card. I still wanted to keep my card fairly simple, so I didn't do anything too crazy. But I'm happy with how my card came out! :) I'm sure my husband will love it....I'll just have to wait and see!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Your kindness....

Hey ya'll! It's my second post of the day!! :) This card I did, is for the 10 minute craft dash!!

So, my card likes playing tricks...This straight on shot, looks more of blues.

Now look. I angled my card, seems more of greens.....? I tell you, it's the same card!! :)

Now, hopefully you all can see the two different shades of blues??....I tried my best, to get a good photo of it. I started at the top of my embossing folder, with my lighter blue and worked it about half way down. Then I used my darker shade of blue, on the rest of the embossing folder. I wanted the two inks to blend together, smoothly.

Let me just say, I really was down to the wire here, on time!! Just look!!!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

Saturday, September 1, 2012

Hey everyone, happy Saturday and Sept.1!!! :) I'm just stopping in real quick to share a card, that I'm entering in the 'Minty Fresh Challenge' over at the Moxie Fab World! I saw the challenge awhile ago but never got around to making anything for it. Until, I looked again and saw I still had some time to whip something up!

So, I ended up seeing this watch picture and instantly loved it. The green is so nice to me, the little touches of gold...I was stuck on this watch (I may have to try and buy one)!

Okay, so now for my card!

I kept it simple. I used Hero Arts Starburst Lace stamp. Which I embossed on my green paper. Then used Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles die. I left my starburst on white cardstock because I really wanted to show it off. I added a pearl to the middle. I thought and thought, about adding a quote but tried some tests and I didn't like it. I then thought about adding, some more embellishments to it but I didn't like that either. After going through all that, I said it must be good enough the way it is?!!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!!
