you are my sunshine...

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :)

We have a brand new CAS-ual Fridays  challenge for you, today!

So, here's my card.

Bright and happy, yeah?!...Once again, I was on a complete different path of making a card. Then ended up with this. ;) I'm realizing more and more, that if I tell myself to 'slow down' and just let things 'flow', everything seems to fall into place. Or perhaps, as time goes by, my crafty skills improve?...Whatever it is, I have been enjoying it. :)

Be sure to swing on over to CAS-ual Fridays and see all the creations from the DT! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend!

Waffle Flower Challenge

Hey y'all!
Happy Monday! Hope you have a great start to the week! :)

Today, we have a brand new challenge at the Waffle Flower Photo Challenge!...And another fun photo it is!

...Sigh...Love this photo and colors.

Here's what I came up with.

Let me be completely honest. I had another card I made for this challenge. Then at the last minute I came up with this.

I was playing around with things more, and one thing kept leading to another. Before I knew it, I had formed a card! ;) My first card wasn't horrible or anything. I just thought this was a better fit and more 'me'.?.

Be sure to swing on over to the Waffle Flower Challenge and see all the DT creations! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!! :)

Been a little quiet...and a wedding card.

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :)

*giving a little update on myself. you can just scroll down to see my card, if you want.*

I know I've been a little quiet on my blog, lately. Truth is, I had nothing but a terrible toothache! Started one day and led to another and so on. After the second day and seeing my face somewhat (well, maybe quite a bit) swollen, I broke down and took some pain medicine. Probably, should have done that in the first place!...Finally, had some relief and swelling went down. a lot. Today, I'm much better.
I know most will and would say, 'you need to go to the dentist'. And normally I would have. Though, I don't have health insurance (for myself). So, you see it's not easy to just walk in or call around and pay up front hundreds of dollars, just to see what going on and then go from there. All I see is $$$ and I'm not sitting on a pile of cash. I'm not one for excuses, but I can't just go to any 'joe schmo' dentist either. I've had my luck with dentist, which isn't always the best. My last visit I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars to basically have a bunch of teeth pulled. Which in the back of my mind, I question if some of them even needed to be pulled. And the tooth that has been bothering me is one that they said was good. So, you got me. And even when I had insurance I still couldn't afford everything that was needed to be done. Needless to say, I have a lot work to be done. Just waiting for things to fall into place for me. Hopefully at some point, they will. ;)

*please know, this took a lot for me to write. while I try to be 'open' with things, there are some things that are very hard for me. I feel I'll be judged (which really, even if I don't open up, I probably still will be?.) and guess you could say I'm insecure with myself about this, so that alone is a huge step for me to share about it. And I'm not looking for anything in return from sharing this. Just something I guess I felt I should do?...(I don't always have a way of explaining things. sorry.)*

Anyhow, on to my card.

So, I was touring around 'blogland' and was looking at the challenges that are going on. I came across the Altenew February Challenge. Somehow, I completely spaced about their challenge! lol Well, now I'll be on the lookout! ;)

The theme is: Gold and Glitter.

February 2015 challenge

*edit*
I am also going to play along with Inkspirational! Thanks, Darnell for asking me to play along! ;)

So, here's my card.

A wedding card, indeed! I did a little stenciling for my background, which I used a lighter pink for it. Hopefully, you can see it?...I didn't cover the whole card with it, just a 'here and there' thing. After, I stamped my image on some pattern paper, twice. Then, stamped my image over my stenciled background. Once done, I cut my pieces out and adhered one of them to the card (over my stamped image). Next, I used some 'gold glitter sticker hearts' to make a flower, so to speak. After, I added my second cut piece over the flower and to line up with my first cut piece. To finish things off, a few gold rhinestones and my sentiment (which, I actually added after stamping my image on my background). So, what do you think?!...

you make me happy...

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! :)

Today, we have a brand new challenge over at CAS on Sunday! And this time it's all about 'chevrons'! How fun is that?!...

So, here's my card.

As much as I love chevrons, I was stumped on making a card! I was just gonna do a very clean CAS card. Then, after I remembered I had a distressed chevron background stamp, I decided I should probably use it. ;) So, I inked it up and then stamped it once on a piece of scrap paper, then on my card. And believe it or not, that's the only stamp I used! Let me know what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And while your there, I hope you'll join us?!!...

I would travel the world with you

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :)

Just quickly stopping in (my kids are bouncing all over the place! Couldn't be all the Valentine candy they got from school, could it?! lol)
I'm sharing a card I made for the current Casology challenge. Love is in the air. ;)

Here's my card.

Once again, I reached for that 'origami map' die and stamp set! I hope you're not tired of seeing it?...There's just so many things you can do with it! ;)

Enjoy your day and Valentine's day!
Not only is tomorrow Valentines but it's our 1yr home anniversary! Can't believe it's been a year already! And as my husband likes to say, "how am I gonna top getting y'all a house!?!"...That is a hard one to top for Valentines. ;) Though, I told him he could buy me the car I want. lol And his reply, "If I do that, you better not ask me for nothing again!". lol Yeah. I don't think I'll be getting it. ;)

Waffle Flower Challenge

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

Today, we have a fun new challenge at the Waffle Flower Photo Challenge!

How lovely is that photo?!...

Here's my card.

I went with a very clean and simple card. And believe it or not, I used four different stamp sets! To start, I used a circle form the Shower stamp set. Which I masked half of it, so I ended up with a flower pot. After, I added my flowers. Which for those, I used the Loved stamp set. I kept all the 'base' flowers/stems 'purple/lavender' color. Then used a 'blue' and a 'sand' color to fill in the flowers. Once done, I added my 'shelf' using the Pattern Play stamp set (I just inked up one of the solid strips). To finish my card off, I added my sentiment. Which was from the Feather More stamp set. So what do you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to the Waffle Flower Photo Challenge and see all the DT creations! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us! :)

you are beary special

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! :)
A short and sweet post, today.

Can you believe it?!...I'm back again and so soon! lol Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the current Little Tangles Challenge. This is my first time ever playing along and I'm so excited! ;)

So, here's my card.

ACK! Do you like it?!...If you know me and my style, you know this card is not typical of me. Though, I have to say, I LOVE it! ;)

I pretty much watercolored everything! The background for the bear. The mushrooms. The beehive. Everything but the bees, though it did cross my mind. ;)

I've been on this whole Neat & Tangled kick, like I want pretty much everything! I have a couple other companies I'm the same with, but where have I been with all the Neat & Tangled stuff going on?! lol

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Okay. One more card.

Yep. One more card for today! ;)

This was my first card I came up with for the Lawnscaping Challenge.

Here's my card.

Nice and simple, yeah?...I did some more coloring with markers for my little birdies. Then did a little masking with my sentiment, just so it says 'happy day'.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Enjoy!

Love you tons

Yes, I'm back! :)

Not sure what it is, but I've been crafting away!...Hopefully, it stays with me like this! ;)

Seeing the Lawnscaping Challenge, I knew that was right up my alley! So, you know I had to play along! ;)

Here's my card.

I have to say, I'm very happy about this card. My idea actually came together for me! I did some watercoloring (again) for my heart balloons. Then, I used a blue distress ink and added it very lightly for a settle background. And I hope you're sitting down because I did some coloring!...With markers! lol I used two different shades of grey for my elephant and I think it looks alright?!...I'm still practicing my coloring skills (which I really don't have any). ;)

Thanks again for stopping by!
Enjoy!

Go forth and shine

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday! :)

I wanted to swing in today and share another shaker card for Virginia's View Challenge. Ever since my first card, all I keep thinking about are shakers! lol

So, here's my shaker.

As some of you may know, one of my new favorites is the origami die/stamp set. Playing around with that die some more, I came up with a shaker. I actually mixed and matched quite a bit of different sets.

I thought this card would work good as an encouragement card, or something in that nature. ;) And for my 'diamonds' I did some watercoloring.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day! :)

love

Hey, y'all! Happy Friday!

For some reason this week seems like it just was dragging!...Not sure if it's just me or not?...

Anyhow, I finally have some good light (and by that I mean good sunlight). ;) So, now I can share a card with you! :)

If you haven't seen it yet, Virginia's View Challenge has a fun shaker card challenge going on! Who doesn't love shakers, right?!... ;)

So, here's my shaker.

Having love in the air, that's what I went with. I did some watercoloring, using two shades of pink for my background. Then after (and once dried), I stamped on some hearts in gold ink. Rather than using clear acetate for my shaker, I went with vellum. Which, I stamped on my 'love' in the middle. So, what do you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy the weekend! :)

Love and be loved

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

I'm swinging on in today, because we have a new challenge at CAS on Sunday!

Another fun one it is! ;) This time we're all about flowers! We want you to use a flower or flowers on your card.

So, here's what I came up with.

I went with a one layer card. Though, I did something a little different (at least for me) with my stamping. I started off stamping my image with black ink. Then, rather than coloring it in or lining up my stamps to fill it in. I went with using my stamps, though purposely having them be 'slightly off' from my base images. (hopefully, that doesn't sound confusing?...) Once done filling everything in, I added my sentiments. Which for the 'loved', I stamped with black ink. Then added a soft pink ink over it but again, stamping it slightly off. And I also added a few soft pink hearts around the flowers, too. Let me know what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And while your there, I hope you'll join us?!!...
