You can do anything

Hey y'all! Happy, Tuesday!
Hope all is well?!...

Things are going good here, just wishing time would seriously slow down for a moment! ;) Can you believe it's almost Halloween?!...Though what's even scarier is it's almost November! What?! lol Too fast...just too fast.

Anyhoo,
I'm swinging on in today to share a card for the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!

I don't have (yet) any of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Calling All Sistahs Collection, which would have suited this challenge perfectly, so some thinking was to be done. Though, I think my card came close to a 'fight like a girl' statement...

I ended up using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Breathe set and keeping things ultra CAS. I simply used four different shades of blues, starting with my lightest color and ending with my darkest color. Which I slightly overlapped each one. After, I added my sentiment and that was it! Done. Simple, yeah?!...

*I'm thinking I may have suppose to use pink(s) for this challenge as well?...I honestly did think about pinks and even purples, but overall chose blues. A complete 'oops' moment if indeed I were suppose to. Though, I still wanted to share. :) *

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see you soon!

Merry and Bright

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!
Hope your week is starting off right?!...

I can sure tell you, I did not feeling like getting up this morning! And I don't my kids did either...well, at least one of them didn't! lol A little bit of a rough start with my one and only daughter, though hopefully by the time I pick her and her brothers up from school they'll she'll be alright. ;)

Anyhoo, I'm swinging in to share a card I made for the current Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge. :)

As usual, I kept things simple...

I did just a little bit of watercoloring with my background/stamping. Once things were dried, I stamped on my non-watercolored tree along with the lights and 'shining star'. To finish things off, I added my sentiment and a little wood veneer star. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Smile...

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday!
Hope all is well?!...

During the week it was pretty much cloudy/overcast, which is not so great for taking photos. Though today, I finally was able to get some light, therefor I was able to take some pictures. :)

I'm swinging in today to share a card that I made for a couple current challenges. One is the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge and the other is the current CASE this Sketch challenge.

I used the layout of the sketch, though just changed it to the left side rather than the right side. Then for my '1 in 8' I used eight little flowers. As usual, I kept things real simple. I just used some fun colors of inks and a little bit of sequins, along with some twine it finish things off. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see y'all soon!

Just a quick update!

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday, almost Friday!! :)
Hope all is well?!...

I just wanted to give a quick update and say, I'm still here! lol I apologize for not posting too much as of lately, let alone, commenting.

After hurricane Matthew came through, we were without power for 3 1/2 almost 4 days!! So I'm trying to play 'catch up' with a number of things, including some design team work! Ack!

As far as the hurricane went, nothing too big for us. We always ride out the storms, regardless of how big they are. I know, I know, you may think that's crazy...though, some things can't always be explained as into why we do. Maybe it's like the northerners when they ride out those blizzards and stuff...I always say, why? And forget that! lol I mean, I don't know snow or any of that, so I'd high tail it out of there! lol So I'm sure people are saying the same thing when we ride out hurricanes...guess it's just one of those things. ;)

We had a lot of down wires and trees. Some roofs were gone/damaged, fences were down, and a bunch of other debris. Honestly things could have been far worse, so I'd say, we were spared. Last I heard before losing power and cell service was the storm was still headed straight for us, which we knew (and I mean straight for us as in, the 'eye' of the storm would have passed over us) at a CAT 4. Well supposedly, after talking to a number of people who had power at the time, they had told us that it upgraded to a CAT 5 and was still coming right for us! Now, that would have been bad and I mean bad...Though, at the last minute it veered towards the ocean, away from us and downgraded to a CAT 3...talk about a close call.

Overall, we made it through it just fine without too much damaged to anything. A lot of clean up and I mean a lot. Though, we and the handful of neighbors that rode out the storm out as well, all had each others back. We worked together to help one another (and others out that did leave) to get things back to somewhat normal. ;)

So much for my 'quick' update! lol Though, you're updated at least! heehee. ;)
I have a couple cards made up, though waiting for some decent light...so soon I should have some things to share! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Little Tangles Post-Coloring

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday!
Hope all is well?!...

Today, we started a new challenge at Little Tangles! And this time it's all about coloring! Seriously, who doesn't love to color?!...

So lately, many of you know I've been leaning towards my colored pencils but this challenge I went back to my markers. And I finally inked up Neat & Tangled's Succulent Journaling Card stamp set, too. ;)

I started with stamping my succulent stamp on white cardstock. Then did my coloring and after I did some cutting with my succulents/banner. Once done, I used a little patterned paper for my background, then simply placed my cut succulent piece on top. And to finish things off, some gold sequins. Simple and sweet, yeah?!...

Be sure to swing on over to Little Tangles to see all the DT projects! :) And while you're there, I hope you'll join us!

Congratulations

Hey y'all! Happy Tuesday!
Hope all is well?!...

My week has just been off to a rough start. I'm not sure if it's something in the air or what?!...But people have just been getting on my nerves. lol I've been trying to avoid going out and whatnot, though even the few minutes or so of having to get my kids from school has been too much! Ugh. I'm hoping by the end of this week things will start looking better. Keyword: hoping. ;)

Anyhow, I'm stopping in today to share a card I made for the current Virginia's View Challenge! For this challenge, it's all about the 'focal point'.

Of course I kept things simple. ;)

I randomly stamped my flowers on white cardstock. Then, colored the biggest one with markers. Which I chose not only the biggest flower to color, but I chose to use bright/bold colors as well. After, I added my sentiment (which I made a banner with) and then added some gold sequins. Nice and easy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see y'all soon!

P.S.
I have some scheduled posts coming up later this week. I'm not sure if I'll be around much or able to post anything else before hand?...In case you haven't seen the news or heard anything, Hurricane Matthew is headed for us this Thursday/Friday. We are under State of Emergency due to how strong the winds will be and the rain. Also, if things shift with the 'high/low pressures' it could even have a bigger impact on us. We are just staying alert and getting a few things 'just in case' though, I'm sure will be just fine...(this wouldn't be our first rodeo.) ;) For anyone else that may be impacted, be safe.
